We recommend our shore visit of Taormina to guests, who arrive in Messina by cruise line ship and would like to spend some free time. It’s the perfect way to discover one of the most picturesque and historically rich places of Sicily. We will pick you up at the port of Messina with our comfortable minivan our limousine and head in direction Taormina. Here you will have free time to wander through the idyllic small alleys enjoying the Italian atmosphere. For culture lovers make sure you don’t miss the ancient theatre.
Who would like to do some shopping, can find many boutiques with elegant clothes (made in Italy) on the main Corso. Or just enjoy a plate of pasta with seafood in one of the many restaurants and for dessert a delicious Cannoli with ricotta creme. Finally the stunning view over the eastern Sicilian coast and the Mediterranean will take your breath away and you will fall in love with Sicily forever.
A tip for who likes to explore an off-track route and doesn’t mind walking up many stairs. Look for the signs that indicate the long staircase in the middle of the rocky nature. They will take you to Maria della Rocca, a graceful chapel built and carved in the rocky wall.
After your free visit of 3 hours the driver will wait for you at the meeting point and he will drive you back safely to the port of Messina, you will be back in time for the departure of your ship.
